FREE SHIPPING

Free shipping applies to most product orders over $150 sent standard ground service by a carrier of our choice within the lower 48 states. The items included/excluded from the offer are subject to change without notice. Custom items may be excluded from the free shipping offer. Live birds/ hatching eggs excluded from the free shipping offer.

Please note that if you order live birds/ hatching eggs along with other products, the cost of the live birds/ hatching eggs does not count toward meeting the minimum total required for our Free Shipping offer. See LIVE BIRDS AND HATCHING EGGS information below.

Due to the ever-increasing cost of outbound shipping, any order containing back-ordered item(s) will be held until all items are in stock and the order can be fulfilled in its entirety. 

You are responsible for any small parcel, expedited, and/or freight/LTL costs for any items not eligible for our free shipping offer. Freight is figured by dimensional weight, call (800) 880-7694 for a freight quote. Please be advised that freight shipments may require slightly more time to process and deliver compared to standard shipping methods.

Next day, 2nd Day & 3rd Day Air shipments are available at an additional cost.

Most orders typically process and ship within 1-2 business days. However, there are times when we might experience shipping delays. Any delays will be noted in your sales order confirmation email. We process orders in the order in which they are received. If you would like us to prioritize your order and bump it to the head of the line for faster processing, there is a $20 expedited processing fee. Please contact us at (800) 720-1134 if you would like to expedite your order.

Processing delays for standard shipping orders do not impact Next Day, 2nd Day, and 3rd Day Air shipments. These expedited shipments are processed for dispatch on the same day they are placed, provided they are received before the cut-off times listed below.

 

ONLINE ORDERS

Online orders placed after 4PM CST are processed the following business day. Web orders placed from Friday 4pm CST - Monday 8AM CST will not be processed until Monday at 8AM CST. Expedited order shipping times are subject to the carrier's daily pickup at the order’s branch location warehouse.

 

EXPEDITED ORDERS

Stromberg's will not be held liable for any shipping delay caused by a shipping carrier.

Expedited orders are only delivered Monday - Friday with no Saturday deliveries and no deliveries during observed holidays. Below are the cutoff times for web orders during the weekday based on branch location. Note: Expedited orders placed on Fridays after the cutoff times listed below will not be processed until the following Monday.

Note: USPS Priority Mail is a standard ground service and is not considered an expedited shipping method. Packages shipped via UPS Next Day Air will be delivered the next business day. For packages needing Saturday delivery please call us to discuss pricing. If you need your order expedited, please call 800-880-7694 to ensure it's processed as quickly as possible.

 

LIVE BIRDS AND HATCHING EGGS

By placing an order with Stromberg's Chicks & Gamebirds Unlimited—whether online, by phone, via email, in person, or by mail for live birds or hatching eggs—you agree to our policies, contract terms, conditions, limitations, and exceptions.

Live birds and hatching eggs can only be shipped within the lower 48 US states.

Live birds and hatching eggs are not shipped immediately after an order is placed. Unless specific ship dates are provided at the time of ordering, shipment dates are determined by our partner hatcheries or breeders. Your order is placed in a queue with others, and your shipment date will depend on factors like hatch dates and your position in line. You will receive an email from Stromberg’s/Mann Lake with your scheduled shipment date once it is confirmed by the hatchery or breeder. Please note, this process may take some time and is not immediate.

For online orders, shipping costs are not included in the price for baby chicks, adult birds, pigeons, and doves, as special handling is required. Shipping is calculated at checkout, or you can contact us at 800-720-1134 for a quote. Egg prices include the cost of shipping.

Important Shipping Details:

  • Juvenile/ Adult Birds: Shipped via Express Mail.
  • Chicks and Eggs: Shipped via Priority Mail.
  • Swans/ Cranes: Shipped via Delta Airlines and require pickup at a Delta terminal.
  • Important: All live bird and hatching egg orders require a contact phone number and a physical address (NO PO BOXES).

Changes & Cancellations

  • Cancellations: Orders cannot be canceled within 12 days of the scheduled ship date. A $15.00 cancellation fee applies to all live bird and egg orders.
  • How to Cancel: To cancel a live bird or egg order, you must call us directly. We cannot accept cancellations via email, voicemail, or online messaging.
  • Order Changes: Once an order is submitted, no changes can be made. To modify an order, it must be canceled and a new order placed.
  • Returns: We do not accept returns for any reason on live birds or hatching eggs once they have been shipped.

Chick Guarantee

You agree not to refuse the shipment if it arrives DOA (Dead On Arrival) or in poor condition. If the shipment is refused, a refund will not be issued.

In the event of any deceased birds, Stromberg’s/ Mann Lake must be contacted within 48 hours of their receipt/ arrival to your local post office. We cannot offer a refund if we are contacted outside of this timeframe. We cannot offer replacement shipments.

Please note that our hatcheries often send extra birds with shipments, so when DOA's are reported they require us to report the live count and not the number that were DOA. For reporting, inform us of the number of live birds for each breed in the shipment. We may, at our discretion, offer a refund or in-house credit for the purchase price of any deceased birds, considering any extra chicks received. To report DOA (Dead On Arrival), contact us via phone at (800) 720-1134 or use our online reporting form.

Juvenile/ Adult Bird Guarantee

In the event of any deceased juvenile/ adult birds, Stromberg’s/ Mann Lake must be contacted within 48 hours of their receipt/ arrival to your local post office. We cannot offer a refund/ replacement if we are contacted outside of this timeframe. We cannot offer replacement shipments.

For reporting, inform us of the breed and number of deceased birds in the shipment. We may, at our discretion, offer a refund, in-house credit for the purchase price, or replacement shipment of any deceased birds. To report DOA (Dead On Arrival), contact us via phone at (800) 720-1134 or use our online reporting form.

Photos are required for any DOA juvenile/ adult birds.

Sexing Guarantee

Sexing for pigeons and doves (excluding Ringneck Doves) is guaranteed for up to 6 weeks from the date of delivery. Please note that sexing is not guaranteed for Ringneck Doves.

Gender selection for day-old chicks is approximately 90% accurate on average. However, we do not guarantee the sexing of day-old chicks.

Hatching Egg Guarantee

Eggs are insured against breakage during transit. You agree not to refuse the shipment if it arrives in poor condition. If the shipment is refused, a refund will not be issued.

In the event of any broken eggs, please notify us within 24 hours of their arrival. We cannot offer refunds beyond this timeframe. We cannot offer replacement shipments.

For reporting, provide the number of unbroken eggs and include photos of the shipping label and all four sides of the package. At our discretion, we may offer a refund or in-house credit for the purchase price of any broken eggs, considering any extra eggs received. Hatch Rate Guarantee

We do not guarantee the hatch rate of eggs. While we strive to provide high-quality hatching eggs, various factors beyond our control can affect hatch success once the eggs leave the breeders. For this reason, we cannot guarantee successful hatching and are unable to offer refunds for eggs that do not hatch.

DISCLAIMER

All birds and hatching eggs are shipped "F.O.B. Shipping Point," meaning ownership transfers to you as soon as the birds/hatching eggs are handed over to the carrier. Occasionally, bird shipments may experience delays beyond the control of Stromberg’s/Mann Lake, the hatchery, or the consumer. Factors such as poor hatches and postal routing can affect ship dates and delivery times. Additionally, timely postal routing may not be available to all zip codes. You agree not to hold Stromberg’s/Mann Lake responsible for any loss of productivity or business, perceived or otherwise, resulting from delays in transit, lost shipments, DOA birds, hatch rate issues, or delays arising from the claims process and/or availability of replacement shipments. Stromberg’s/Mann Lake is not responsible for any startup costs incurred in preparation for your birds/hatching eggs' arrival, such as equipment, tools, feed, etc.

OVERPAYMENTS

Overpayments may be refunded or credited to your account.

 

SHIPPING ESTIMATES

Although we try to be accurate with shipping charges, some circumstances can affect the final cost. If the cost to ship your order is higher than what you were quoted during checkout, we will contact you before we proceed with shipping.

 

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

We do not send live birds, eggs or adult birds internationally. Quotes on orders for export may include shipping, special packaging, and documentation at a customer’s request. Please call us for quotes. All shipments for export are subject to prepayment in U.S. Funds. The customer agrees that they will be responsible for all product, shipping and destruction expenses if any ordered product is rejected by the importing country’s customs agency. Quotes do not include duties, taxes, or other fees charged by the destination country.

 

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

For each Address Correction/ Package Intercept - $20.00

For each Acknowledgment of Delivery - $5.00

For each Call Tag Received - $9.00

For each Live Bee Bird/ Egg Cancellation - $10.00

Cancelled orders that have been fulfilled in our warehouse may be subject to a 10% restocking fee

WARRANTY

Stromberg's warrants its equipment to be free of functional defects in material and workmanship. If within 30 days of purchase you feel an item to be defective, please call us. You may be asked to return the merchandise in order to receive a refund. Refunds can include the purchase price along with all transportation charges if the product is found defective. Warranty does not cover damage to equipment arising from alteration, abuse or use of product for other than its intended purpose. Photos must be supplied for damaged product replacement.

 

DAMAGED FREIGHT

All merchandise is shipped “F.O.B. Shipping Point”. This is a legal term that means all merchandise becomes your property as soon as we give it to the freight carrier. The freight carrier is responsible for complete and safe delivery of your merchandise. It is your responsibility to inspect the merchandise when it is delivered. If the freight carrier fails to deliver your merchandise in good condition, it is your responsibility to note the damage before signing for it. Contact us immediately, so that we can file a claim with the carrier on your behalf. Photos of the package, shipping label and damaged merchandise are required to file a claim and receive a refund or replacement.

PICK-UP ORDERS

A call before you arrive will help us serve you in the fastest manner possible. In most cases, we can have the order ready for you to pick up.

 

ORDER DISCREPANCIES

Check all orders immediately upon receipt and contact us within 10 days on any discrepancies.

REPLACING MERCHANDISE

When Stromberg's ships a replacement product to you due to damage or an incorrect product, there will be an additional charge for the new product sent. However, a credit will be applied at the time of the return of the incorrect product.

 

MERCHANDISE SUBSTITUTIONS ON ORDERS

In the event that a purchased item is not available, Stromberg's reserves the right to substitute an item of equal or greater value, for the same cost, in order to fulfill your order. If an item of equal or greater value is not available to substitute, we may offer a substitution of lesser value. You will be charged the lesser amount in this case. Stromberg's will contact you via email for approval. Your order will be held until approval is received.

 

PRICES

Stromberg's will invoice all orders on the basis of prices which are in effect at the time of shipment. We reserve the right to change catalog prices if we deem it necessary. Please feel free to confirm prices at any time. Stromberg's is not responsible for typographical errors.

  

SITEWIDE & PROMOTIONAL DISCOUNTS

A limited number of products are excluded from sitewide & promotional discount offerings. These products include but are not limited to live birds, hatching eggs, gift certificates, ADM feed, subscriptions, Featherman products, Lodge products, Gallagher products, and Manna Pro.

Sitewide discounts, military discounts, and promo codes cannot be combined with any sale or promotional pricing. 

  

LIABILITY

Our liability is limited to the purchase price paid for any item. We make no warranty or representation, express or implied except all products conform to the description provided by the manufacturer on sales literature or product labels.

 

PRODUCT SUITABILITY

Due to many state and local codes and regulations regarding sales, construction, installation and use of products for certain purposes, we cannot guarantee compliance in every situation. We attempt to assure that all products comply with state and local codes and regulations, so before you purchase and use a product please review both the product application and local codes and regulations. Be sure that the product, its installation and its use will comply with those codes and regulations.

SALES TAX

When applicable, we are required to collect sales tax by law. Exemptions for sales tax will be allowed if you have either a signed Certificate of Resale or an Exemption Certificate. The tax forms vary by state, please call for details. Law requires that we have these certificates on file before any tax exemption can be allowed.

Sales tax is a combined total of state, county, city, and district tax rates. These rates are based on either the shipment-origin address, or the ship-to address, as dictated by each state’s tax law. For your convenience, we provide a sales-tax estimate during checkout, and on your order confirmation summary. However, many factors can change between the time you place your order and when it ships. Because of this, your final sales-tax charges may be different from the estimated amount. Tax-exempt purchases will show estimated sales tax at checkout and on your order confirmation summary. Once the order ships, the invoice will reflect your exemption

 

HOLIDAY CLOSINGS

We are closed New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

 

CREDIT CARDS

Stromberg's reserves the right to preauthorize credit and/or debit cards. No money leaves your account until the purchase clears but the hold is active until the actual transaction is settled. When there’s a hold on your account, it lowers your available balance. Stromberg's is not responsible for overdraft fees resulting from the pre-authorization of your card.
