Description

The Snowflake Bobwhite Quail is a more ornate version of the White Bobwhite Quail. The Snowflakes are white with black speckles throughout their body. These birds are easy to raise and are great egg producers. Breeding season is April-June. Expect up to 16 eggs per clutch.

The Bobwhites require perches, as they fare better off the ground. They are sociable birds and prefer to live in groups with one another called coveys. Diet consists of seeds, greens, and bugs, along with a staple game bird pellet.

Our quails are excellent flyers and are not pinioned.

Snowflake quail are yearlings, 12-14 months old.

Live birds/ eggs will not ship immediately after your order has been placed. We will contact you via email once your ship date has been scheduled. Shipping is calculated at check out.

    quail housing

I see that the info on these birds say they like perches. Quail are ground birds and I have never had one of mine use a perch ever. Best in housing with hardware cloth wire flooring to let the droppings fall through. Or ground with shavings and dirt. I raise these as well and love them.
