Description
This is the economical ten hole front roll out nest. These nest boxes roll the eggs out the front of the nest preventing them from getting dirty or soiled by the hens. The egg compartments are covered by a plastic flap to keep them clean until collection. Comes with removable plastic roll out nest for easy cleaning. The economical model comes with metal nest bottoms not plastic bottoms, also it has wooden perches and not plastic perches. Perches flip up for egg collection and to close off the nest boxes at night if necessary. The egg storage compartment is underneath the perch. Experts recommend one nest box for each 4 laying hens.
Side Panels and perch brackets are galvanized; top, front and back partitions are plastic. Front opening is 7" x 11 1/2". Each compartment holds up to 12 eggs. Requires hand pop rivet gun for assembly.
