The Japanese Bantam is a clean legged, single comb variety that originated in Japan. Japanese bantams are considered a true bantam because they do not have a matching standard size chicken. They have large single combs, very short shanks, and are known for their large tails that are well spread in profile and quite upright. Mottled white on a black base color.
